2015年，共描述發表中國兩棲爬行動物新物種11個，其中兩棲綱5種（均為無尾目），爬行綱6種（蜥蜴亞目5種和蛇亞目1種）；報道兩棲綱中國新紀錄種1個，爬行綱中國新紀錄種2個；另外，兩棲綱（有尾目）和爬行綱（蛇亞目）各有1個物種的分類地位發生變動。
